Kampala City Tour

Kampala is Uganda's national and commercial capital bordering Lake Victoria, Africa's largest lake and a fresh water body. The city sits on 7 major hills covered with red-tile villas and trees surround an urban centre of contemporary skyscrapers. In this downtown area are several tourist attractions and some with great history attached:
The Uganda Museum which explores the country's tribal heritage through an extensive collection of artefacts.
On nearby Mengo Hill is Lubiri Palace, the former seat of the Buganda Kingdom. The Baganda people have great culture which is fascinating to learn about.
There is the Amin’s Torture Chamber; Uganda's former president Idi Amin Dada used this place to torture people who opposed his rule.
The Namugongo Martyrs Shrine; Christian believers were burnt live by Kabaka Mwanga for failing to denounce their faith. Christians from all over the world make pilgrims this place every 3rd June of the year to remember these people also to strengthen their faith. The place has got a lot of history.
The Gadhafi mosque, it was put up by Libya’s for President Muammar Gaddafi.
The Bahai Temple; the first in Africa is one of only nine around the world. The temple on the hill is located about 3 kilometres from Kampala, the capital city of Uganda.
